If your business or personal plans have brought you to this charming corner of Poland, you're probably wondering what attractions the capital of Podkarpacie has to offer. Let us guide you through the must-see sights in Rzeszów and introduce you to some of the city's top highlights.

Lubomirski Castle in Rzeszów
It is worth starting a tour of Rzeszów from the beginning, i.e. a monument that is one of the oldest, and certainly one of the most flagship buildings of the city, i.e. the castle, built in the years 1902-1906 on the site of the former seat of the Lubomirski family. Due to its very poor technical condition, the castle was completely demolished at the beginning of the century and rebuilt according to the originally preserved plans of the architect Tylman, however, objects such as the tower, the keep and part of the moat have been preserved in their original form. In the coming years, there are plans to additionally increase the attractiveness of the castle by including it in the route of the Bar Confederation, and to transfer the collections of the local museum to its premises.

Lubomirski Summer Palace
The Lubomirski Summer Palace is located practically opposite the Lubomirski Castle. And although both buildings share one surname, it is a completely different building in terms of architecture. And no less important than the Lubomirski Castle. The summer palace is located on the plan of the letter H, which is supposed to refer to its founder - Hieronim Lubomirski. The baroque monument was once a place of entertainment, today it is the seat of the District Medical Chamber. However, you do not have to be discouraged by this, during the Chamber's opening hours several rooms of the palace are available to visitors.

Art Nouveau villas
In the vicinity of the baroque palace and the Lubomirski castle you will find three Art Nouveau villas charmingly located on Aleja Pod Kasztanami. One of the villas resembles a romantic castle in shape. An additional attraction is a sundial with a dial in the shape of a radiant sun and the motto "You see the hour, you do not know the hour" visible on the facade of the historic Villa Pod Sową.

Round footbridge
The round footbridge is a rather unusual attraction in Rzeszów located above the busy Józef Piłsudski Avenue. It has a practical dimension - it has significantly improved safety in this part of the city and an aesthetic dimension - a pedestrian footbridge in the shape of a circle is a rarity, but the raw materials from which the footbridge was made are also unique (specially glued and tempered glass for the balustrade and an extremely hard and resistant type of wood from which the footbridge platform was made, imported from .... Cameroon).

Bedtime Story Museum
Regardless of whether you are traveling with your family or alone, it is sometimes worth recalling childhood memories - there is no better way to do this than to return to your favorite fairy tales. In Rzeszów, we have a way to do this! The Bedtime Story Museum from the collection of Wojciech Jama is a unique collection of memorabilia related to popular fairy tales from the times of the Polish People's Republic. Original toys, posters or even cosmetics with the likenesses of the characters are an ideal idea for a sentimental journey and getting to know the aesthetics of a bygone era. Visiting the Bedtime Story Museum is certainly an important point on the map of Rzeszów, which will be of interest not only to the youngest.

District Museum in Rzeszów
The District Museum is located in a 17th-century post-Piarist building. Temporary and permanent exhibitions are available to visitors. Of the latter, the Gallery of Polish Painting is certainly worth attention - exhibiting over 120 outstanding works by Polish artists (including paintings by Jacek Malczewski, Józef Pankiewicz, Wojciech Kossak, Józef Mehoffer), as well as the Gallery of European Painting. With a bit of luck, you will also see the military exhibition (Polish Soldier 1914-1945), which has been closed recently.

Underground tourist route
After fairy-tale memories, it is time to go down to the ground, or rather below its surface, i.e. to the underground, where a unique tourist route runs, which is a complex of connected city cellars. This is an unusual attraction of Rzeszów, but it is definitely worth including it in your plans. The entire route is almost 400 meters long and includes 40 rooms filled with exhibits from the collections of the local museum - you can see knights' armor, historic ceramics and the city's coats of arms. It includes rooms such as Gruba Kochanowicza, Piwnice Bławatników, Piwnica Rzeszowskich, Trakt Lubomirskich, Droga Kupiców, Lochy Tatarskie and Piwnica Miodowa.

Rzeszów Multimedia Fountain
After emerging to the surface, especially in winter, when it gets dark much faster, it is impossible to pass by the structure that illuminates Rzeszów with a blaze of colors. We are talking about the Rzeszów fountain, or rather the entire facility offering passers-by light and sound effects combined with laser shows and synchronized with several dozen colorful water jets. All those thirsty for exceptional aesthetic experiences can watch fountain shows from the nearby amphitheater equipped with 300 seats, or immediately afterwards go to the Lubomirski summer palace adjacent to the facility.

Tadeusz Nalepa and Edward Janusz
When in Rzeszów, it is impossible to miss the monument to the father of Polish blues - Tadeusz Nalepa. The leader of Breakout proudly walks along the Rzeszów promenade on 3 Maja Street, and also decorates one of several city murals. As for the other figures decorating the city
